MEME TIME.
First, here are the answers to the lyrics thing I did this weekend:
1. Goodnight, Irene
2. I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive (unguessed!)
3. Long Black Veil
4. Green, Green Grass of Home
5. Poor Ellen Smith
6. Streets of Laredo (unguessed!)
7. Wildwood Flower
8. I Still Miss Someone
9. I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry
10. The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down
malnpudl was the big winner there. Praise!
Second, okay, that "give me three stories you think I would never write" thing looks fun? But there is NO WAY I am doing it, because I know a lot of you way too well, and you would all gang up together to make me write schmoopy Ray/Ray. I KNOW YOU WERE THINKING IT DON'T EVEN FRONT.
Third, I have user interests! And icons! If you want me to explain any (or three specifically, I guess) of them, comment and I shall talk about myself. Such a hardship.
Anyway. Hi, you guys. I really love Ray and Fraser. How about you?
(Yesterday in a comment
brooklinegirl was talking about how Fraser was the biggest woobie ever and how it made her want to feed him cookies. Which, a, I REALLY REALLY want to read about what how the scenario with BLG, Fraser and cookies would play out but also, b, she never answered me when I requested reassurances that she wouldn't be serving him her fancy genitalia shaped ones. Um.)
I think I will go watch last night's Heroes now.

1/5/07 22:00 (UTC)himym: short for How I Met Your Mother (http://imdb.com/title/tt0460649/) (except LJ doesn't like five word interests, so it's easier to use the abbreviation). This is one of those shows that looks like it should totally suck and be random crappy sitcom #432, and instead is TOTALLY AWESOME. True story!
straight girl exceptions: I am pretty much as straight as you can get while still acknowledging that girls are aesthetically pleasing. But, dude, even I have some chicks that I would turn for. (Claudia Black is, of course, at the top of this list.)
y: the last man: Extremely well-done comic book (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Y_the_last_man). I'm a little behind right now on issues, but it's still a totally amazing series. Monkeys, apocalypse, lesbians, plague, everything awesome in the world.
This is my Friday Night Lights icon. Matt Saracen sitting on the porch of his tiny dinky house with his head on his knees. It is dim and real and makes my heart hurt and perfectly reflects the show in 100x100 pixels.
David Tennant as the Doctor! My Doctor Who enjoyment is very much in the CRACK and GOOFY and FUN side of the scale, so I wanted a DW icon that was, you know, basically David Tennant being adorable and goofy.
*giggles* That is Ollie Queen, aka the Green Arrow, from the DC comics universe, rushing into the hospital after his foster-son/ex-sidekick guy has just been shot and seriously injured. Ollie is not full of tact, but he cares a lot! Also, the quote just makes me crack up in general, and is surprisingly useful.

1/5/07 21:18 (UTC)As he walked to his next seminar, he carefully consumed his treat in a dignified yet hasty manner, as he would hate to cause his fellow attendees any discomfort by arriving with the cookie still in recognizable form. Hoping his blush had faded by the time he took his seat in the lecture hall, he reflected that at least he would have an amusing anecdote to relate to Ray upon returning home from his legal conference here in Boston.
