FRANNIE. Hi Frannie I love you! I love you so much I needed an icon! I wanted to go with something that shows not so much your goofy brilliance as your warmth and love. This screencap was from the final scene of Heaven and Earth, with Ray and Frannie in interrogation room together, which is one of my favorite scenes. That is also why this doubles as my Vecchiocest icon.

Elizabeth Taylor was hella hot in her day. I love the bored and slightly disdainful expression she has here. I use this a lot just because I think it's pretty, but also to express "HEY. LEARNING STUFF!" because I associate this with classrooms.

1. Um. Radiators scare me, okay? or at least free-standing radiators do, because - they're BIG and UNPREDICTABLE and they make LOUD NOISES, and also? they are a flat surface on which I am not allowed to put books or papers or clothing. It throws off my entire organizational scheme.

2. I don't use this one as much as I should, really - it's my confrontational DO THINGS FOR ME icon, but I'm really bad at actually being confrontational. So.

3. keywords for this are, if I recall correctly, "...and you're funny looking". Because that is the exact face I make at people when they are just not making sense.

4. Fraaaaaaaser. *flails* He is disappointed but resolute and I STILL LOVE HIM BEST.

5. I have no idea where this is from; I think that apple_pi might have made it? but it's pretty, and I like it. keywords are "al-maghrib", I think, for Morocco, where I would like to someday live.

6. This is my CONFUSED PUPPY icon. Because sometimes? you just have to look cute and bewildered and hope that someone will explain.

7. OH RYAN ROSS. There was a thing, a while back, about how he was at a festival where it was raining, and offered soup to a bunch of fangirls, and fandom-at-large exploded from ADORABLE. Then, of course, because I'm wrong inside, I proceeded to start a story involving Ryan Ross, Nurturer, making soup - possibly made out of kittens? - for pregnant band boys. SHUT UP I KNOW. Someday I will write this story, and use this icon to post it with, and EVERYTHING WILL BE PERFECT.

...also, I pretty much love everything there is to say about his brand new look (gay stoner cowboy? sign me up!). OH RYAN ROSS.

I had a RayK/Stella icon! And one of just Ray. But then I decided they weren't good enough, and I deleted them. I go on 'this is crap delete delete delete WHY DO ALL MY ICONS SUCK SO MUCH D:' sprees sometimes.

1. Okay, so, some of my favorite photoshoots of celebrities are ones where they're in regular clothes and just hanging out and not at all stylized, maybe with less of that barrier that's up between the actor and the world. And this is from a shoot of Sean Bean in NYC, where they apparently just kind of wandered around the block. I really liked that shot.

2. HOKAY. So, ages and ages ago, bookshop, an HP BNF, would host these anonymous comment-fests in her LJ. Which was kind of shit-stirry, but the point is, there evolved from that what was theoretically an anonymous hatememe, where you commented to gossip and be mean about people, but in practice got pretty silly pretty quickly. And a few of us, including twentyfivepast and inkdot, were kind of a central group within it. And it got ToS'ed, sadly, but the memories remained. Anyway, we were called the Walruses/Walri/;_;, because someone made the ;_; emoticon and some other anonymouse said "that face looks like a walrus", and it turned into a running joke, and it just snowballed from there.

At one point, we had a cracktastic RPG. It was very short-lived, but it was so amazingly funny. It's been almost two years and I still find myself crying with laughter on re-reading it. It was an HP RPG, and we used the name Walrus for it, and we called the 'message' community Walrus Post, and I made this graphic as an icon (if you look closely, you will see that the winged walrus has a little envelope in his tusks).

AND THAT'S WHY YOU ALWAYS LEAVE A NOTE. Basically, I use it for in-jokes or crack, especially if they have to do with LOL_meme, where several of the Walri hang out.

4. This is actually from a Buffy episode, when she is checking on Willow in S7. She's just in a wifebeater and plain pants and bare feet, and looks very nice and pretty and calm. This is just kind of a general-use icon.

5. This is from National Treasure! Abigail is hiding behind a deli counter from Sean Bean's henchmen, who are trying to take the Declaration of Independence from her! It is very exciting.

6. This is from the wank a few months ago, when Deletegate/Boldthrough/Whatever Fandom Is Calling It Now occurred, and we had that big debate about what was appropriate and self-censoring and incest fic/fic with underage characters. I like to use it whenever I'm talking about things like Petrellicest and how the world needs more Peter/Nathan/Claire.

7. That is, as far as I know, a stock icon, which I just like because she is dancing in her pajamas, and also flexing! And there's pink! It reflects my life pretty well, I think, with the pink and the rocking out.

They might be! Sometimes people cook things with brains, so it could be, like, cow brains, or sheep brains, or whatever brains people cook with. I also capped it so that she looks amused more than terrified, which is probably also why it's not as immediately recognizable.

I'm torn between being pleased and being slightly horrified at the number of Bruce/Patti icons I have, by the way. I think I'm up to four. Which might automatically make them my OTP, actually. I'm not sure what the rules are about that.

1. I've had this icon for frickin' ever. chaosraven made it for me and though I don't like or watch SV anymore, I still love the icon and it's ridiculousness. Clark, SV fen might remember, was actually toasting the toast with his heat vision, but it really does look like he's just super in love with it.

2. fox1013 made this for me! It's a quote (and picture) from the book Screening Party by Dennis Hensley, which she introduced me to. Dr. Beaverman is the shit and I often have to stop myself from using this icon because either I realize it's wrong to tell people I don't care about their problems or that I do care but just want to use the icon because it's awesome.

3. Poke the Penguin! (http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/pokepenguin). I like to think this is me. I am cute and innocent seeming, but eventually I will snap.

4. That bird is from a really trippy part of the anime Samurai Champloo. It's pretty and also full of DOOM. I like to use it when I'm feeling doomful.

5.Marvel comic book OTP! That is Kitty Pryde and Pete Wisdom. If I were in a romance novel, I would be her and the hero would be him. Only we wouldn't break up.

6. This is my AGH LATIN icon. It means, basically, 'I think some guys in togas are plotting against me.' Which is so true. Especially fucking Cicero. Si hoc legere potes, operis boni in rebus Latinus alacribus et fructuosis potiri potes! (If you are able to read this, you can get a good job in the fast-paced, high-paying world of Latin!)

7. This is a random icon I made after watching an episode of Psych where young!Sean is playing chess with his dad. His dad asks him what the horse piece is called. Sean's reply: "Dwight." I found it hilarious, but I don't actually know if I'll just the icon much.

1) Austin Scarlett from Project Runway! Fabulous gay man! My all purpose Are You Fucking Kidding Me? icon, and also useful for YAY PROJECT RUNWAY posts! *awaits the new season*

2) Oh man, I totally don't use that icon enough! What a great HI I AM EMO pic that is! It's Lem from The Shield, played by Kenny Johnson, who I love madly. I had this day when I made a crapload of icons from utterly random sources, and this is one of my favorites of them.

3) Hawkeye and BJ!! ♥!! MASH is my very favorite comfort tv ever. I'm not entirely happy with this icon? The coloring is awful, and I couldn't make it look as pretty as I wanted, but I love this moment, and I love them, and so I've kept it. Because oh, boys!

4) My all purpose YAY icon! The picture is the little soot balls from Spirited Away, who make me happy just by looking at them! I kinda want to make an animated icon of them jumping around, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

6) I just found this picture while looking for stock shoe photos, and I kinda love it. The keyword for it is "lucky", but I basically just use it in comments when nothing else fits...it doesn't have much of a purpose, but I think it's really pretty, so I end up using it a lot.
