1. Meme: Ask me any fandom-related question, anything - about a pairing, an opinion, a person, writing, a fic.
2. Latest song on the list of covers I would really like to see = FOB doing "I Think We're Alone Now."
3. My last entry was number 3500. I mention this only because I am very fond of round numbers.
4. I was not aware that Pete Wentz going commando was canon. Although the throwing-up thing is weirdly endearing.
5. That actually came up randomly while I was googling something else, because I was thinking vaguely about the tattoos that Pete and Alicia have around their necks. Tattoos are sexy + collarbones are sexy. Um.
6. An illustrated timeline of all bandom tattoos would be the most useful resource ever. It would also be, like, someone's complete life work.
7. I do not know, like, anything about Bert McCracken outside of what I have seen in random MCR fandom things, so I was surprised to learn that he was raised Mormon. Because ... I feel odd about Bert and Brendon Urie having things in common. (Zee would totally read that pairing.)
8. My saved chat folder cracks me up.
9. Tell me about the AU where everybody lives in Portland, okay? There's room for comic book industry, and Powell's booksellers, and lots of live music both shitty and good, and hipsters galore. Teeeeeeell meeeeeee.

7/12/07 02:30 (UTC)Gerard loves Jersey. And he loves New York City. But one of his professors has a friend that works in Portland, and as graduation's getting closer, he pulls Gerard to the side and tells him that there's a strong entry-level position at his friend's commpany that will lead to bigger work in less than a year.
A cross-country move is scary (as is leaving his family, especially Mikey), but Gerard can't not take it.
Mikey's finally had enough of being alone in Jersey by the end of the next year, and transfers out to the Univ of Portland to finish up going to school. Gerard's already starting to inch his way up in the industry, even after that short period of time, and there's talk of him getting to work on creating something on his own soon. So it's no hardship at all for them to share an apartment.
Frank's a touring musician whose band somehow breaks up at the very second that they're farthest from home. Frank meets Mikey at a show and when Mikey learns who he is ("omg I love that band! What do you mean you broke up??") and that he has no place to stay other than the cheap motel on the other side of town, Mikey invites him to stay at the apartment.
...ummm... *tags someone else?* :-D

7/12/07 02:57 (UTC)Raaaay's family moved to Portland when he was younger, and he's stayed there ever since. He got through college, but even with a degree, he can't let go of his love of music. So he's working at a local guitar store/repair shop and really liking it, but he does wish he could actually play more.
The Ways' apartment isn't too far from the shop, so when Frank busts the final high E string he has in his case, he grabs his coat and goes down to pick up another one. He strikes up a conversation with who he thinks is just a clerk, but finds out that Ray really has a deep-running love of music. They both grab a guitar and start playing back and forth until the end of Ray's shift.
Frank starts thinking about starting another band. Local to Portland this time. :-D

7/12/07 02:40 (UTC)2. Ummmmm, FOB covering "I Think We're Alone Now" has long been something I've thought would MAKE MY LIFE, in large part because I sometimes imagine Pete Wentz listens to that song and just wishes his relationships could be epic teenage Tiffany-inspired romances. Running away from haters, holding hands, and finding secret spaces! Oh how Wentz wishes.
7. I feel like Zee and I have talked about Bert/Brendon before. Hmmmm. It's certainly the sort of thing we would talk about anyway, because I would also read it, yep.

7/12/07 02:46 (UTC)2. MAYBE YOUR BRILLIANT IDEAS ARE FLOATING TOWARDS ME LIKE RADIO WAVES? I would actually kind of approve of that, because you do have a lot of awesome ideas. But yeah, that song is like, Pete dreamland. Plus I think the band could totally rock the song. Also it makes me want to write Pete/Mikey? But that is true of, like, turtles and falling leaves. Dammit.
7. Hee. If you have, Zee has been holding out on me! She was just like "Of course he's Mormon! He's from Provo!" when I mentioned my surprise.

7/12/07 02:41 (UTC)not one, but TWO of the times pete was on loveline, he talked about how back in the day he would go commando on tour with interesting results (http://thesamefire.livejournal.com/3356.html). mostly i just want to read the story where patrick hits on him and pete has to turn him down because he's afraid he has the herp.

7/12/07 02:49 (UTC)Ahaahahahaha PETE. Why do you talk about your junk so much? Seriously! I guess that explains WHY he mentions being afraid of rashes in the article I linked to. Although one would think those experiences would make him, you know, NOT WANT to try it again. Of course, you know, [Underwear] kind of feels like chains, [so] it feels like a prison break. So there's that.

7/12/07 03:15 (UTC)Questions: Who you do you find to be the most physically attractive person in bandom? What's your favorite aspect of the mess of Pete and Mikey and Alicia canon?

7/12/07 04:44 (UTC)It was awesome.
And then I changed my mind and I was Ray Toro (which, weird, but I have the hair for it) and Zee was Black Parade!Gerard. But you were still MikeyWay.

7/12/07 04:52 (UTC)Zee would make a shockingly awesome Black Parade!Gerard, now that you mention it.
