schmerica: (MWAH)
I'm still slowly working my way through my rewatch of all of Alias, and man, I think the show might be even more satisfying the second time, just because it's so much easier to let yourself stop trying to make the plotlines make sense and ignore the stuff that won't ever get resolved and just concentrate on the AWESOME bits.

The king of those awesome bits: BRISTOWS. I am pretty sure that the Bristows have my favorite non-romantic relationship ever to appear on TV. They love each other! They're badass together! They do fucked up things to each other! They do even more fucked up things to anybody else who tries to hurt the other! SOMETIMES THEY HUG. BRISTOWS HUGS > EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD, OKAY.

It doesn't hurt that the episode I just finished was 2x06, Salvation, aka one of the first real instances of pure Bristow goodness, straight to the vein. Spoilers )

BRISTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWS.

[livejournal.com profile] wax_jism posted the hi-res version of the one Pete/Mikey picture the other day, and of course I immediately had to make it my desktop. Even since I keep minimizing all my windows just so I can stare at it some more. Ugh, these boys. The way they're clinging so close, the crinkly smile lines around Pete's eyes, the total loving possessiveness in the way Mikey's hand rests around him. And before I saw the hi-res version, I totally had never noticed that Mikey's fingerless gloves were Clan, too. Seriously, ugh. They remain forever, if not my OTP, then my very most favorite of pairings.

Also, I just added a new interest to my profile. I'm a dork.

schmerica: (bonus hot-ass schechter!)
I have officially gotten more feedback on my 800 words of total utter sap about Ray/Gerard than anything else I have written in my entire six years in fandom. Awwww, bandom! You are so spoiling me for any other fandom ever.

Also on the subject of Ray/Gerard, I just got into a discussion with [livejournal.com profile] mimesere about how depressing it that, like, most of the stuff in the pairing is badfic featuring ABUSIVE ASSHOLES with rape and emotional trauma. (Sheila: RAY and GERARD? REALLY? because. seriously, erica, an 8 year old girl in a tutu with a unicorn charm bracelet is more likely to be an abusive asshole than those guys.) This dicussion has evolved inti us picspamming each other with Ray and Gerard being adorable ridiculous boyfriends, though, so it all works out in the end.

Randomly, I am totally in the mood to read stories about Gerard and oral. Especially dudes coming on Gee's face. Or him being kind of crappy at going down on girls. But he gets better!

Here is a picture that I am sort of in love with at the moment, just because every single person but Mikey looks like they're about to crack up. Whereas Mikey just looks ... exactly the same as he always looks. See? )

Thought: Mikeyway is a ho. Is this reflected in his wardrobe? Sexy grinding with Gabe + Midtown hoodie; Summer of Like shenanigans with Pete + Clan merchandise, etc. More research needed!

I'm going to go back to my Georgette Heyer now, despite knowing for a fact that nobody will be coming on anybody's face. :(
