My friends list seems to be ever more multi-fannish all the time. Normally, I love this about it, but the last few days it has been an exercise in frustration. I cannot tell you how many times in the past few days I have gone, "Argh! I want porn! Where is the fic, flist?"

And the flist makes a good faith effort to provide, it does! It says, "Here, pearl, enjoy this SG1! This SGA! This Ocean's 11! This anime! This Dead Zone! This Fast & Furious! This Star Wars!" But I am surly.

And usually, you know, I can enjoy fic in fandoms I'm not really interested in -- sometimes quite a lot. Lately, though, my brain seems to be rejecting everything but due South out of hand. (Well, I'm sure it would accept Wilby Wonderful or Twitch City, too, but there is not much danger of that.) Stupid brain! Let me enjoy the good fic!

In conclusion: everybody wants to have sex with Ray Kowalski. Also, cock.

I wrote this pathetic little wimpy note to misspamela in response to her hot and very well written SGA fic -- basically I grovelled, desperate for due South, an whined about how, though I will read SGA fic by friends and people I respect, I don't like the source material enough to fall for the McShep pairing. Me too! *sigh* I've read two SGA stories, and they were both very good, but I just can't summon up the enthusiasm. I don't want to summon enthusiasm. *digs heels in*
