I am having a grumpy hormonal week, and to top it all off, my face is breaking out. Boo.

Livejournal, you have been awfully quiet lately! What is going on with you? Talk to me. Tell me something that is making you happy! Tell me something that is pissing you off! Tell me about the song you can't stop listening to or the picture you can't stop staring at or the last joke you heard! Are you writing or vidding or creating something cool?

You are especially encouraged to comment if we don't talk very often. Hi, I am bad at making the first move; let's get to know each other.

Hi Erica! I should be vidding but I'm totally not. Instead I'm daydreaming about a very long, AU Logan/Weevil fic where Logan springs Weevil from jail and then leaves him alone, and Weevil goes to community college and ends up involved in activist-y stuff to help youth in trouble, and Logan comes back years later and they have sex and stuff.

I'm very fond of Mr. Eli Navarro. Um. Yes.

You know what also makes me happy? Dean with AMNESIA.

That is an AWESOME story. <3<3.

Does Dean with amnesia lead to boysex because he doesn't remember they're brothers?

You know what's even better than Dean with amnesia? Dean with a KITTEN.

The Dixie Chicks released their new album on Tuesday, and Monday night, the Medium season finale used one of their songs, called "Lullaby". The song has basically not left my head AT ALL since Monday night... I even dreamt about it. *shakes head*

If you are interested, you can listen to the new album here (http://dixiechicks.msn.com/), I believe.

Hi hi hi! We don't talk very much, but I kind of wish we did, because you are all over shiny awesome.

I am ornery right now, and trying very hard not to make "I like girls" my response in every interaction I have. Because while it's true, it's not entirely true, and it's really not at all a productive thing to be saying, although it would be fun to watch people's eyes bug out.

And that is my story! also I am writing porn in my head, of the f/v/k variety, but I don't think that will make it out any time soon.

Finals are crazy-making. Ow.

Hee, yes, I can see how "I like girls" would not always be an appropriate response. Like, "What do you want for lunch?" or "What time is it?" Time and place, dude.

Finals are evil. I'm currently on week 8 of a 10 week term, so I have two more weeks of classes, and then one week of finals. Boo.

Hi! We do not in fact really know each other. So! Here are three things that make me, [personal profile] riverlight, happy:
1) I just graduated college. OMG. (Smith College, BA, Political Science). Apparently I am officially an adult now... who knew?
2) I have a cup of good strong tea (Red Rose, from Canada, yay!) and have good music playing (Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer) and there are lilacs outside my window, and really, I don't need much more to be very happy!
3) Right now, Stargate Atlantis is making me very happy too (mm, Ronon and his hair knives) but also Due South—I watched dS the other day for the first time in literally months, and oh, how did I get by so long without it? Fraser! And Ray! holding hands in an alley! Oh, man, totally the best thing ever. ::grin::

I just friended but, hmmm... Hello.

As to recent jokes:
Two tall trees, a birch and a beech, are growing in the woods. A small tree
begins to grow between them, and the beech says to the birch, "Is that a son of a beech or a son of a birch?"

The birch says he cannot tell. Just then a woodpecker lands on the sapling. The birch says, "Woodpecker, you are a tree expert. Can you tell if that is a son of a beech or a son of a birch?"

The woodpecker takes a taste of the small tree. He replies, "It is neither a son of a beech nor a son of a birch. However; it is the best piece of ash I have ever put my pecker in."

I am currently writing the seocnd/last part of a House/Pirates of the caribbean xover since I signed up for [livejournal.com profile] crossovers100 with House as the fandom.

The song I can't get out of my head is Hanging by a moment by Lifehouse.

Hi! We don't really know each other. Three not especially interesting things:

1. Your icon is totally cute. I love Twitch City/Molly Parker. ♥
2. I'm recently addicted to Alias. (I blame [livejournal.com profile] fox1013 and [livejournal.com profile] kurtbert.) Right now I'm in the middle of 1x15.
3. Today I found out that the girls I golf with at school (for Wellness class -- basically like Health/Gym) watch Grey's Anatomy. Not only that, but they a) love Addison and b) hate McDreamy. I'm pretty sure this is almost as awesome as the time I found out the girl who sits across from me in History likes Due South.

How can I resist an invitation like that?!

Things that make me happy right now:
- almost being done school
- having an interview for a job in England (fingers crossed!)
- writing for the first time in two years!
- writing TWO stories simultaneously after writing NOTHING for two years (M.A. thesis aside...)
- summer is here!
- riding my bike
- Stargate: Atlantis (ah, fandom)
- lists

Things that are pissing me off right now:
- I broke the air valve on the back tire of my bike and can't go riding until I get it fixed
- I broke my guitar -- my closet door fell off the wall, hit it, and cracked the top
- trying to find a summer job -- I hate job hunting!

Song I can't stop listening to right now:
- Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol

Creating something cool:
- the aforementioned two stories! (well, I think they're cool, anyway)

Hello! I have been scanning film negatives at work 8 hours a day for the past week and a half, so to preserve my sanity I have taken to stalking my friendsfriends list and now commenting to complete strangers on the internets. (Well, not complete strangers. I mean, you're [livejournal.com profile] pearl_o.)

Oh, I wrote porn at work for the first time today. Well, brainstormed. But I wrote naughty words where other people could potentially have seen them. I feel like I've crossed a fandom milestone. Or mixed a fandom metaphor. Something.

The only jokes I know are nerdy math and science ones, so I won't inflict them on you. Although, what do you call cheese that isn't yours?

What is going on with me?
I am sitting in the EMU computer lab because I am too damn lazy to go home! I am also starving, but telling myself that being able to afford going to England is so much more important than eating.

Something that is making me happy!
-The person who linked to the Canadian!Pirates!Song!! in your comments has made me ridiculously happy.
-The fact that I have a blister from wielding a sword really entertains me.
-Apparently: italics

Something that is pissing me off!
-Amelia's boss, who is a total heinous bitch and I honestly cannot understand how she can be so unsympathetic and un-understanding about shit. Also, I don't understand how she can talk shit about Amelia while I'm in the room.

Last joke I heard:
Something about 165 pirates walking into a bar. It was an improv thing. Basically, the set up is you have to tell the joke in this format: "165 [blanks] walk into a bar. The bar tenders says "Sorry, we don't serve [blanks] here." and then you come up with the rest.

My contribution was thus:

165 pirates walk into a bar. The bartender says: "Sorry, we don't serve pirates here." The pirates reply: "Oh, we're actually looking for the mast maker." Bartender asks: "Did yours break?" Pirates reply: "Aye, we had one sent to us, but now we're here to collect our mast rebate."

It is purely contingent on the fact that you're in eighth grade and the word 'masterbate' will make you laugh.

Am I writing or vidding or creating something cool?
Nope!
