I <3 Heroes very much.

Here is my question about Heroes:
Okay, so, Future!Hiro still has all the memories of the original timeline, before he went back to tell Peter Petrelli to save the cheerleader, save the world. So he still remembers stabbing Sylar, and having it not work, because Sylar had Claire's regenerative powers. Okay.
Everybody else in the five-years-in-the-future are in the revised timeline, not the original timeline. So: Claire is still alive, Peter saved her, Mohinder remembers the time on the train, etc, etc. Sylar does not kill Claire and get her regenerative powers until two-thirds of the way through the episode.
So ... why isn't Sylar dead in this timeline? Why didn't the Hiro in that timeline get to stab him and thus kill him? Is this the same timeline Current!Hiro is on, so in the next two episodes Hiro is going to try and change the future dystopia and fail and actually lead directly to it? But then where did Isaac get the pictures for the comic from?
Sigh.
(Of course, the OTHER question is, nobody but Peter and Nathan know that Peter is the guy who blows up the city, not Sylar. So Future!Hiro's entire string thing is based on one incredibly wrong assumption, and so, um, will killing Sylar do anything to save the world ANYWAY?)
...Man, I love this show.
