I have decided that I want the AU where Mikeyway is off in the city being a temp worker being a boring clerical office drone and then he and Pete meet one day on Mikeyway's morning commune. Because! You know that Pete is That Guy, the one who sits next to you even though there are still empty suits around. The one who strikes up a conversation even though you are clearly listening to your iPod and avoiding eye contact. Maybe even the one who maybe sees you at a show a couple weeks back and lands a subtle inquiry with your good friend Gabe or Alicia to find out who you are and stalks you a little and figures out your schedule and carefully plans when the best time might be to approach you, because you have to think of these sorts of thing and what would make the best story to tell everybody about how you two got together.

Peeeeeeeeete and Mikey sittin' in a tree. THAT IS ALL I WANT, PEOPLE.

PS OMG THIS SEASON'S HEROES IS SUCH AN INCREDIBLE TRAINWRECK. I AM IN LOVE. HORRIFIC LOLZY LOVE.

I haven't been really posting at all this week, I realize, but it's not because I'm off having horrible things happening to me and making people worry. I've been home since Sunday, and I think I was totally right about getting out of Eugene being the best thing I could do at this point.

I'm being weirdly not very fannish at the moment, though I don't know why. The most obvious evidence of this is that when the "tell me what you want me to write!" meme was going around, I didn't comment to ANYBODY's. You guys, usually I spend half my day telling people what to write for me, you know?

I'm doing a lot of reading, which is awesome. BOOKS! LIBRARY! YAY! Lots of YA fantasy for me.

Question: if a girl wanted to do research on werewolves, potentially for writing later on, what sources do you find useful?

Monday night TV is amazingly awesome. Heroes! How I Met Your Mother! Both of them equal as much love and devotion as you can imagine from me. Tomorrow: GREY'S OMG. TV, you are great sometimes.

You guys, was I just imagining it, or were two of the guest characters this week named Quesada and Didio? Seriously?

[Poll #883333]

I have a feeling one of these is going to be a landslide, but you have to consider just how geeky the other two are!

Feel free to nominate other moments in the comments.

Theory That Struck Me Today:

Caroline Morrison on "ReGenesis" is what Weir on SGA would be like if Weir was totally awesome.

Another Thing About Heroes::

Man, I know all the troublesome stuff about, you know, being totally evil and stuff, but nonetheless, I am in love with the relationship between Claire and her daddy. Because, seriously, I have a button a million miles wide. [livejournal.com profile] fox1013 and I were talking earlier about daddy issues; while much of fandom seems to have the "I've been a bad, bad little kid. Spank me!", we both have more of the "DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL WAAAAAAAAAH" thing going on.

There are lots of relationships that hit this button for me, but the classic is Jack and Sydney Bristow from Alias, which is my one true gen relationship FOREVER. Lilith and David on ReGenesis actually made me cry last night, in episode 1x08. Buffy and Giles, on the times when I'm not sexualizing them at all, can fulfill the same thing for me, despite the non-related-ness. Oh, and BSG: Kara and Adama are my favorite relationship on the show, even when I'm conflicted about everything else.

(Actually, a lot of the things that make me cry fit here. S2 Buffy and Giles, yep. Jack and Sydney, yep. My first year away at college, I came home and watched the freaking Land Before Time with my family and cried when Sarah the three-horn was reunited with her daddy. I don't even know!)

(And in comics! Babs and Jim Gordon! Roy and Lian! *sniffle*)

More about my imaginary fandom. I know, I know! I'm sorry! )

ANYWAY. In the world of REAL FANDOMS! I just watched Heroes 1x05, and oh my god, dudes. I feel like I should have lots and lots to say about this show, so it's really weird that I don't, not at all. All I have to say is BWEEEEEEEEEE THIS SHOW I LOVE YOU SO MUCH SQUEE SQUEE SQUEE. I am ridiculously in love.

On the list of things that fandom is making me do that I will probably regret in the near future:

a) I'm downloading Hard Candy for Ellen Page.

b) I signed up for [livejournal.com profile] rps_advent. Eeeep!

Okay, so, based on the first two episodes of Regenesis, I can say with some certainty that my friends list was indeed right: Peter Outerbridge is totally, totally hot.

(I had my doubts! Just a little! Because, um, I still think of him as Lennox, you know? But ... yes.)

Also, Ellen Page looks freaking awesome here; that's a flattering haircut. And the two of them sitting around smoking and eating ice cream is kind of the best thing ever.

In other news, three and a hours until BRAND NEW Grey's Anatomy, WOOOOT.

Also, yesterday I got myself some pretty Heroes icons, which I think will come in very useful in the future. The one with this entry I made myself; the following two were made by [livejournal.com profile] liviapenn and [livejournal.com profile] mimesere, respectively:

Man, I am finding season three of Battlestar Galactica hella frustrating. I liked this Friday's episode better than the premiere, but the premiere rated fairly high on my tv disappointment scale. (Me at the beginning of s1 bsg: "This is kind of boring. I'll give it a try though." Me at the end of s2 bsg: "Wow, over the last thirty episodes I have somehow become emotional invested in this show and care about the characters. Cool!" Me at the end of 3x02: "Wow, way to make me hate every single person, there. Except you, Old Man. I still like you. PS CKR YOU ARE SO FUCKING HOT DO ME NOW.")

Anyway. Tonight was Heroes! But I have no TV! Seriously, Monday and Thursday nights are my tragedy. Thank the lord for bit torrent. Hopefully I will have it waiting for me when I get home from school tomorrow.

[livejournal.com profile] brooklinegirl made an entry earlier writing to her DS Sekrit Santa person, where she mentioned that one of the things she asked for was, um, something kinda of dirty that not everyone liked. And I was like HEY WHAT A COINCIDENCE. And then I made a list in her comments of things that were, in fact, dirtier than what either of us has asked for.

I got this far:

+ watersports
+ scat
+ bestiality (this includes if Dief is in human form or someone else in wolf form)
+ Benton/Bob
+ Fraser/any of his other father figures, including Quinn or Welsh
+ Fraser chan (and seriously, if you're defining that as 13+, I would eat that up with a spoon. Imagine if his first sexual experience was from a woman, like, ten years older than him or something!)

But then I ran out of ideas. Although looking at it now, I totally left off necrophilia, and that's an easy one! Oops.

Okay, I've given Studio 60 three tries, and I'm giving up. It's a good show, but it just ... nothing has grabbd me yet. All the characters are kind of the same, and they're all really cranky. So, three strikes and you're out: sorry, new show! I tried!

Spoiler for The Focus Group )

Heroes, on the other hand, I am totally in love with after two episodes. I make loud sounds of BWEEEEEEEEEE. More now please!

Vague comments on the show )

I am currently downloading season one of Battlestar Galactica -- I saw the miniseries and the first episode before and didn't care for it too much, but I figure I'll give it one more try.
