schmerica: (joe troh stealth hotass)
Yesterday on the drive down to Eugene I spent most of the time seriously strongly overidentifying with Billy Joel songs (HI THERE VIENNA), but somewhere in between bouts of this time-consuming activity I decided that Pete Wentz/Chiana from Farscape is my new crossoer OTP.

I mean it, guys. She is so his type it's not even funny! And can you imagine the songs he would write about her?

Plus, shallowly, they would look pretty adorable (and possibly strangely hot) together. Ugh, Chiana wearing one of his stupid hoodies, you guys, I can't even.

I'm planning a rewatch of the entire series of Farscape after I get back to school next term, and now I am going to be thinking about this the whole time.

Also, last night I talked to Zee about how a random Portland AU is still sort of my bandslash happy place, for some reason -- I don't even care what an actual story would be, I just like to think about them wandering around the city -- and I realized that I pretty much imagine Gerard and Mikey living in the apartment Zee used to share with [livejournal.com profile] liviapenn. The conversation we had on this topic was freaking hilarious, and would mean absolutely nothing to any of you (except perhaps [livejournal.com profile] speshope, also a former resident of the place, but less informed about MCR).

Joe and Pete are going to get chinese food and watch a movie on Christmas. Go team dradle (sic).

In conclusion, Mme Victoria's House of Discreet Gentlemen is the best brothel in all of Regency London.
schmerica: (canon het for the win)
So I showed [livejournal.com profile] fox1013 the latest (ridiculously adorable) picture of Pete Wentz and Hemmy.

Which led to this:

[livejournal.com profile] fox1013: that must be the longest-suffering dog in all of fandom
[livejournal.com profile] fox1013: right now, Scully's dog is sitting there thinking "I'm just glad that wasn't me."
[livejournal.com profile] fox1013: ...Scully's dog got eaten by a sea monster.

[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: I was about to be like I don't know x-files, but I bet that was clever and funny!

[livejournal.com profile] fox1013: <3

[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: I think Hemingway might be the longest suffering ANYTHING in any fandom, really.

[livejournal.com profile] fox1013: heeeeeeee
[livejournal.com profile] fox1013: --more than Dief?

[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: Yes.

[livejournal.com profile] fox1013: Wait. More than Hope?

[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: Wow.
[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: That's a tough one.
[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: I SMELL AN LJ POLL.

OKAY YOU GUYS I NEED YOUR OPINION ON THIS TOTALLY IMPORTANT AND SERIOUS TOPIC.

[Poll #1097591]
schmerica: (happy endings for everybody)
So DS Match just started over at [livejournal.com profile] ds_flashfiction yesterday -- four stories so far! Lots of awesomeness! You should go over and vote for TEAM ANGST BECAUSE IT RULES, yay!

The thing is that actually when I think about it this is probably the first I've really been reading dS fic since I got into bandom, and, uh. Perhaps reading the really well-written Team Angst fic where spoilers ) wasn't my best idea ever? Just maybe?

(It is very good, though! If you don't have my exact issues, I rec it! Go vote!)

Of course, it did lead to this conversation with [livejournal.com profile] ficbyzee:

Cut for chat! )

Anyway, back to my fluffy bunny fandom! It's kind of weird that I went and read Pete/Mikey to cheer up, considering that it is not a pairing known for happy endings, but it's weirdly comforting. Especially since I know they get Alicia and Patrick in the end.

Things that I love and want more of:

+ Gerard/Lyn-Z (pictures AND fic, man)
+ Mikeyway has always been a girl
+ Wee!Ways gen
+ Gerard talking about musicals
+ Everything that is over the top and melodramatic and banter-filled and self-indulgent in the WORLD

Hi.
schmerica: (arrested: portugal)
Brain-bending pairing of the day: George O'Malley/Maeby Funke.
schmerica: (twitch city)
Does anybody else think Ray Kowalski could make a really good member of the Nac Mac Feegle?

ETA: This entry is not showing up on my friends page. Annoying!!! I do not approve. My comments are not coming today, either.

Tonight's wrongheaded and bizarre crossover premise:

On their adventure, Fraser and Ray meet up with Yukon Cornelius and the Bumble.

Come on, tell me you can't see it! )
schmerica: (pearl-o)
Wrongheaded and Bizarre Premise of the Night:

Blues Brother/Due South crossover.

Extremely Weak Justification for Said Premise:

Um. Chicago?
schmerica: (hope/curtis)
Dave: "Ever since I was fourteen, I always fantasized about making love on the space shuttle."
Lisa: "Well...that's adorable, Dave."
Dave: "With a space prostitute."

Ladies and gentlemen, can we say gratuitous crossover? Heee.

[On a totally different note: anybody know why the new lj layouts have disappeared?]

Thing the first: [livejournal.com profile] china_shop's latest flashfiction entry, Mail Order, is dirty and funny and charming, all at the same time. Not to mention it fulfills one of my favorite kinks in a really fresh (and hot) way.

Thing the second:

Bad Crossover Idea #549 = Wayne's World / Due South.
