Catching up on the SGA downloads -- I just finished 2x17, and oh, MAN. This show, it pleases me. Every character on it is pretty much too dumb to LIVE. Seriously, I would not want anyone except maybe Teyla ever in a position to make decisions that affect me. ( Spoiler )

I have to admit, my number one very favorite moment of Stargate Atlantis ever is still the two guards in "The Storm" and their conversation about bacon, right before they get killed and never thought of again.
This is possibly a reason why SGA will never really be a fandom of my heart.

Earlier I started to do the thing where you pick one picture each of your favorite celebrities, but it defeated me. I managed CKR (the black and white one, with the records and his hand near his mouth?), and I did Molly Parker and Maggie Gyllenhaal and Alan Cumming, but then I got to Rachel McAdams, and three hit me ALL AT ONCE, and I was forced to admit defeat.

Tomorrow is my first day of class. I am excited yet also nervous! Please to wish me luck. Also, I think tomorrow is grocery store day, because there is NO FRUIT in my house, none at ALL, and I am having the biggest food craving in my life. I need juice and tangerines and apples and pineapple and peaches and grapes and MORE JUICE PLEASE NOW. Wow.
This is possibly a reason why SGA will never really be a fandom of my heart.

7/1/06 18:13Here is the thing: I am not really in SGA fandom, because of the combination of a) it not swallowing my soul like I require my fandoms to do and b) not really seeing the McKay/Sheppard. But despite this! I do enjoy it! And sometimes I want to read fic! But -- see point one; since I am not in the fandom, I do not know where to look to find it. So.
Who wants to rec me fic, then? I'm not much into the McKay/Sheppard, as I said, but I like it enough when it's mostly snarkiness. I'm not much into the gen, for the most part. Pairings I would most like to see include: really fucked-up Sheppard/Weir, McKay/Weir of any kind, season 1 Sheppard/Ford, Sheppard/Teyla/Ronon, Teyla/Ronon, Weir/Ronon, ANY femslash, Weir/Caudwell, any McKay het, anything with Cadman, team orgy fic (though I am doubtful anything can surpass Bas's "No, Really" for the ot4) -- anyway, I am big slut! 25/12/05 18:21So I got my sister SGA dvds for Christmas and my dad the Serenity dvd -- which, shut up, they both really wanted those and asked for them, THERE IS NO SELF INTEREST AT ALL INVOLVED IN MY CHOICE OF GIFTS.
But La Soeur and I started watching various of the special features this afternoon, and really -- the entire cast is really kind of cute, aren't they? I mean, Hewlett owns me, for one thing, but what I'm really surprised about is Torri Higginson. Omigod, how freaking ADORABLE is she? How can the actress be so funny and cute and *heart*able and the character be, you know, kind of boring? I do not understand!
I also have showed La Soeur the entire first season of Grey's Anatomy. Nobody can resist the syphilis jokes!
But La Soeur and I started watching various of the special features this afternoon, and really -- the entire cast is really kind of cute, aren't they? 1) I have now seen the pilot and first five episodes of "Arrested Development", and it is brilliant, funny, original and incredibly incest-y. What's not to love?
2) Yesterday I also watched SGA 2x12. I can't help thinking the ideas behind this went something like ( spoilers )
3) It occurs to me after the fact that posting my weird Vecchio/Fraser/Kowalski pwp in the middle of the night in a weekend in December is possibly limiting my audience to a rather large degree.
4) Over the last two days I have read approximately 500 Dinosaur Comics strips. AWESOME.
5) Hey, was Fraser's baby sister really the original Elizabeth Weir on SG1?
6) I thought I had something really important to put here, but I cannot remember what it is at all. So instead, um. More picspam!

1. "Don't touch anything."
2. "I didn't touch anything!"
3. "Oops. I touched something."
For Wilby Wonderful, on the other hand, the Essential Crucial Distilled Dialogue is, I think, the question "What do you mean?"
I'm not certain what the Essential Crucial Distilled Dialogue for due South is, though. This might need further reflection.

1a) Sheppard and McKay don't particularly strike me as totally gay for each other, but I can see the slash as believable.
2) Fantastic Four, while not by any means a good movie, is reasonably amusing and entertaining, certainly much more so than it appeared in the ads.
3) Livia has declared Duck in Wilby Wonderful the ultimate comfortador. She also apparently has a theory about the complentary attraction of comfortadors and woobies, but I didn't get all the details.
