P.S., why are I ALWAYS the person who ends up having to explain to people what trepanation is? Was I the ONLY person who ever read the Golden Compass? Come on!

p.s., my first experience with trepanation was Golden Compass, but my favorite is Stephen Maturin sticking a spoon into a guy's brain. Oh, Age of Sail. *happysigh*

DUDE. DO IT. You missed out on the Great Patrick O'Brianstraganza of '04 in my journal, but there was copy/pasting of awesome passages and character analyzin' and it's all just a big pile of KICKING ASS AND TAKING NAMES (and sometimes being little cheek-pinchy woobies). When I read, I fold page corners down so I can go back to passages I love, but I had to stop with POB because I was folding down every page.
